  Is Embalming Required By Law?
Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary if you select certain arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing, embalming is required. If you do not want embalming you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require embalming such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

What Is The Purpose Of Embalming?
Embalming sanitizes and preserves the body, retarding the decomposition process and enhances the appearance of the body.

What Is The Purpose Of A Funeral?
It is the customary way to recognize death and finality. Funerals are rituals for the living to show respect for the dead and to help survivors begin the grief process.

  Why Have A Public Viewing?
Many grief specialists believe that viewing aids the grief process by helping the bereaved recognize the reality of death.

If I Decide On Cremation Can I Still Have A Funeral With Viewing?
Yes.  We offer a rental casket so it is not necessary to purchase a casket and enables a family to have a viewing and funeral prior to cremation.

  What Do Funeral Directors Do?
Funeral Directors are care givers and administrators. They make arrangements for transportation of the body, complete all necessary paperwork, and implement the choices made by the family regarding the funeral and the final disposition of the body. Funeral Directors are listeners, advisors and supporters. They have experience assisting the bereaved in coping with death and are trained to answer questions about grief.

Why Should I Pre-plan My Funeral?
Pre-planning a funeral for yourself or a loved one is a vital part of estate planning. With all the details arranged in advance the funeral will proceed as planned without requiring last minute decisions or being an unexpected financial burden.
